Register a Complaint

Complaints are placed before the General Secretary and, where required, before the executive committee. Please give complete and factual details so the matter can be examined properly.

How your complaint is handled

  1. The complaint is recorded and you are given a reference number on screen.
  2. The office seeks a reply from the district unit or official concerned.
  3. The decision, with reasons, is communicated to you.
  4. If you are not satisfied, you may place the matter before the executive committee.
Please avoid: anonymous complaints, complaints without any supporting detail, and complaints about a match result that were not first raised with the tournament committee at the venue on the day of play. Such complaints cannot be taken up.

Information / RTI Request

The Association believes that players and affiliated units are entitled to know how decisions about them are taken. You may ask in writing for information about the Association's records, and the office will respond.

What you can ask for

  • Minutes and decisions of the general body and executive committee
  • Selection criteria and the composition of a selection committee
  • Entry lists, results and score sheets of a state event
  • Audited accounts placed before the general body
  • Status of an affiliation or registration application

What is not disclosed

  • Personal details of players such as address, phone number or medical information
  • Information held in confidence about a third party without their consent
  • Matters that are the subject of pending proceedings
About the RTI Act: the Right to Information Act, 2005 applies to public authorities. The Association is a registered society, and whether the Act applies to it depends on its funding and control at the time of your request. Regardless of that position, the office accepts information requests through this page and replies to them as a matter of policy. If your request falls under the Act, it will be processed accordingly and you will be informed of the applicable fee and appeal route.
